More about Jyl and Ian

Style
In 1979 they converted their woolshed into ‘Redbluff Gallery’ which became very well known and which they operated until 1996. Closure came only because of the labour intensity of the craft which took a toll on their hands.

In recent months Jyl has developed the craft of three dimensional feathering, making New Zealand native birds along with the support of Ian who makes the bases and feet where necessary and they mount them, either on a canvas block or natural native Puriri wood sculptures.

They are excited to be back in the art world and look forward to continuing new developments.
